There’s no single edged weapon that we can think of that can out-chop or out-cut a good Kukri. This beautiful Kukri Machete from Cold Steel combines the efficient cutting power of the Gurkha Kukri with the heft of a machete. Features the distinctive weight-forward balance of the “top-of-the-line” models, and always presents the edge on an angle so it's guaranteed to “bite” deep with every stroke. Made with 1055 carbon steel. Additionally, it comes complete with a sturdy Cordura sheath!

Well, it's just a machete but it's comfortable in hand and the forward weight makes it cut like you need in the woods. This is easily worth the price.

For the price, I guess it's ok, but not heavy enough to actually use, as it is only 1/8th inch thick.

I love this one, not big but It really cuts well. I do not know if I got this from Atlanta Cutlery but the price was right. I know some service men take it out on their camping trips. And they like it too. Note it is a machete. Not a kurkri, ghurka,So it weights less.

I've been surveying for 30+ years in some of the most rugged and God awful places known. I have used the Cold Steel "Latin" style machete most often for work. If I ever found myself in a survival situation and had only 1 survival tool, I would want it to be a machete. I purchased a Cold Steel "Kukri" machete and would not trade it for anything. I put my type of edge on it,( I prefer it razor sharp) even though it didn't need it. Not only did it take the edge, but has held it far longer than I ever expected. It now stays on my back pack wherever I go. A "must have" survival/camping tool. Well worth the price, well made, and always reliable. "Cold Steel" is MY choice when it comes to cold steel. Wade R.

Loved it, until.... It snapped in half right at the handles end or start of the "1055 carbon" blade! As a COLD STEEL customer with quite a few cold steel knives in my growing collection and with no resolve from cold steel with there "no brake blade promse" I'm hurt by my tried and true #1 favorite company not even taking the time to reply to the customer sucks but, I will not stop collecting although I will how ever be a tad more picky on my future C.S. Acquisitions!! Bad, bad, bad business pissing a customer off on a $22.00 item. Not how I keep my customers happy and coming back, not only cust #1 but that happy cust hopefully will express there happiness to, I hope, 30 ppl and just MATBE I'll get 1 or 2 new customers along the way.... Thanks.
