This is an exact reproduction of the official US Army 1840 NCO sword, down to the last detail. While not as fancy as the other services, this sword holds tradition and historical value for the Army NonCommissioned Officer. While Marlow White offers a beautiful version of the sword, it is not true to the original. The only draw back to the 1840 sword is the scabbard which should be leather with brass throat and tip, used with a "frog" instead of hanging chain.
