The H.L. Hunley was the first submarine to sink a warship, although the sub was lost following the skirmish. This warship has since been found and resides in Charleston, SC, and it's innovative design changed warfare forever. After the first clashes of ironclads took place during the American Civil War it became clear that the ironclad was the most powerful warship afloat. This museum quality and accurate replica is made of resin, metal and hand painted give you a detail remembrance of an important piece of history. Includes display stand.
  • Dimensions: 22-1⁄2" long body, 35" overall, 4" tall

I'm a huge submarine enthusiast, having served in the US Navy. This is quite possibly the worst rendering of the CSS Hunley i've ever purchased. The holes for the planes are not drilled evenly, so i had to force the planes into place, the torpedo spar and planes are made of wood, or something cheap like that, and the rudder is held on by a piece of metal wire. The detail is severly lacking. The only thing going for it is it's size. They didn't even put deadlights on. Maybe the design team should go take a look at the Hunley before they sell a model of it...especially for this price. CSS Hunley Rating A+ Garbage!
