The katana is an epic weapon in and of itself. The addition of a Damascus style blade just adds a beauty and strength to it that is incredible. While not quite as good as an authentic sword that can run from anywhere of a couple thousand to a couple hundred thousand, for the money this blade is comparable to a several thousand dollar blade from other places. Strong and expertly made, it's a great addition to my, and anyone else's, collection.

I own this same katana. It's a very good blade for a student beginning thier cutting training. It's not in the same ball park as a true hand hammered blade, and is gonna run you about 3-4 grand. But who wants to train with a high dollar blade? I will buy another katana of this level when I need another test cut blade.
