This is one beautiful sword! We were very impressed with the hand work and craftsmanship all the way from saya to kashiri. Highly lacquered wooden saya is further customized and made unique with hand laid abalone in the form of bamboo. The tsuba represents nature with both water and fowl motifs. This flowing and elegant katana has a carbon steel, razor sharp blade with traditional differential heat treated edge and is double pinned. Parts are highly detailed cast metal, cotton wrap over faux ray skin tsuka (handle). The unique golden brown color of the wrap easily could make this the crown of any sword collection.
