Patented on 29 November 1916 by Lt. Arthur Pritchard of the 3rd Bn, Royal Berkshire Regiment the Pritchard bayonet was designed to fit the Webley revolver. It fixes underneath the barrel of the revolver with the pommel sitting in front of the revolver frame, the crossguard being secured by a spring behind the front sight.  The original bayonets were manufactured by W.W.Greener of Birmingham. Both the blade and scabbard were converted from French Gras bayonets. The hilts were usually made of brass, however, hilts of alloy or steel have also been noted. No more than two hundred of these incredible bayonets were produced and sold privately to officers during the First World War.  A very well made replica of an extremely rare bayonet.  A must for collectors. Comes with a blued steel scabbard and leather frog.
  • Overall: 12-1/2"
  • Blade: 8-1/4"

I had been scouting for this bayonet for years, saw it on some Aussie websites, but they could not deliver, finally Atlanta Cutlery made me a proud owner of this collector's delight. Very well made at an affordable price. James Carver.
