These US GI Surplus Pup Tents come with everything: 2-shelter halves, 2-3 piece tent poles, 10 tent pegs and tent ropes. Made from OD green canvas, shelter halves have metal snaps along the ridge line. Approximately 7’ long x 5’ wide. Unissued. Also available in slightly used condition.

Twenty-two plus years of Infantry life and a multitude of experience later I can heartily recommend these G.I. canvas tents for any of you that prefer canvas to synthetics. These will shelter two people and a modicum of gear or generously shelter a single user with a load of gear (i.e. as in canoeing.) It may also be split in half for use as a lean-to when appropriate or necessary. Used by two individuals it can be easily carried by both as it is a component system originally meant to be used by two soldiers. This helps to offset the greater weight of canvas and allay one of its primary shortcomings. Anyone pricing canvas tarps recently realizes this represents a very good value for the asking price!
