A beautiful, traditional Japanese knife used for hundreds of years in villages and in camp by soldiers.  You'll still find them today.  Very light, simple and easy to carry and use it's easy to see why.  After using this surprising agile and refreshingly simple knife we were sold.  "If it ain't broke", comes to mind.  Genuine water buffalo horn handle and 1095 high carbon steel, hand forged blade.  Piemontese opening system along the spine and no lock of any kind (like riding a bike, you'll get used to it again).  Includes carry bag and leather thong.  An attractive, useful knife made by Windlass Steelcrafts.
  • Overall: 6-3/4"
  • Blade: 2-3/4”

This knife has a nice handle, and nice workmanship on the spine of the blade, but has absolutely no edge out of the box, which is disappointing. You will need to have this sharpened. I can't tell where the blade is made without taking it apart. It's either India or Indonesia. Not a bad buy if your a collector, but there are better options (I.e) Case Russ Lock or Higonokami, in this price range and cheaper.
