The M9 Bayonet was introduced in 1984 to replace the M7 bayonet for use on M16 / AR-15 assault rifles that have bayonet studs and flash hiders installed. The M9 was designed to be a multi-functional utility knife that also works as a bayonet. Our piece is made to the basic military M9 standards. Features a heavy duty stainless steel blade with OD green polymer coated handle for a sure grip in tight situations. The multi-functional high strength polymer and steel scabbard attaches to the bayonet to do double duty as a wire cutter; includes a built in sharpening stone and small utility pouch. The OD green nylon webbing uses a standard web belt attaching clip, plus includes a quick disconnect option.
