The latest in the Windlass Cobra® Steel line is this survival knife based on the deadly Spartan Short Sword. The blade on the Lakonia was shorter than other classical Greek swords and the Spartans said it was to bring them “one step closer to the enemy.” Hard rubber scales on a full profile tang. High carbon, factory sharp blade. Includes a heavy leather scabbard.

I would give this knife six stars. I love the shape of the blade and the handle is very comfortable. I would highly recommend this knife to anyone looking for a weapon of this size.

It came pitted with a few rust spots, but they'll buff out easily. A good strong blade that performs very well, and for the price it can't be beat!

I teach ancient Greek history in college and ordered both this and the kopis in order to show students what ancient weapons were like in size and weight. It is well made and substantial, without being awkward in its weight distribution along the blade. Sharp from the factory.
