This effective knife is a copy of an English produced bowie made for the U. S. trade. Though still in fashion to carry a bowie, this knife is made with a thin hilt for more discreet carry. Features hand forged tempered high carbon steel blade. This knife has dark hardwood polished scales pinned to a full profile tang. It has all steel parts married to the blade. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts. Scabbard included. Can be sharpened for additional fee.

Gary - Our records show you made this purchase in Feb of 2012. We wish you would have contacted us then regarding the problem with this knife so we could address your concerns. If this was a defective knife we would have gladly exchanged it, or refunded your money However over a year has passed and you have not contacted our customer service reps so they could rectify the problem.

Very nice looks in the catalog. Very disappointing construction and quality. Big gaps around the guard. No way that guard could have been pushed on from either end, something had to be welded or pieced together. OK for a wall hanger but wouldn't want my friends to see it up close. Expected better from ACC.

You won't find a better knife for the money anywhere. The grind lines, fit and finish are on the par with much more expensive knives. The sheath was good, except that the metal tip fell off as soon as I took it out of the package. Lousy glue job, but that's easily fixed.

I bought one of these at a garage sale. These knives take and hold an edge. The sheath is good. Well worth the price
