Review of: Springfield 1903 1903/A3 Accessory Kit
The pull through and multi tool are great. I use these items on several different projects and firearms, go in the pocked for a day at the range. The sight hood is of no use to me.

This has become one of my favorite swords, short sword long knife whatever. High quality hand forged blade perfectly sharpened to razor edge with the optional service. The handle is smaller but perfect for my hand, about medium to large.

I give it a 5 within it's price range. I don't trust stainless on swords so the carbon steel model was my choice. Sharpening good enough to go over it with a finer stone and do it right as they established an even bevel. I think I will completely dull the first 1.5 to 2 inches near the handle for safety. Sheath is good. I would nod miss the belt loop because something this long and heavy does not ride well for belt carry. I wonder how the originals were carried, probably with a sash or shoulder sash?
The handle fits me well it I hold it with the first joint of the pointer finger on the front bolt head. Mystery wood handle is a little slick, but I can roughen it up a little as needed. I like the balance of the Lakonia rubber ducky better, but this one has 3 inches or more reach. I came well oiled in what looks like a rust resistant cardboard cover. They might do themselves some good by reminding people that carbon steel needs to be wiped off after use and lightly oiled.
The bolt heads are historically accurate, but for a user they could be left off. Something in this price range is not a collectible so use should be more important than historical accuracy.

This is every bit what they say it is. Picked one up for Z-day, and have found it to be extremely tough and I really like the heft. It would actually make a great training bat because of the weight, for a great value.
