KA-BAR Warranty


If at any time your knife fails to perform due to manufacturer’s defect, KA-BAR will replace the product with the same model or the most similar model to it from their current product line.


KA-BAR Knives, Inc. (the “Company”) warrants, to the original purchaser of the knife
only, that this knife will be free from defects in material and craftsmanship under normal use and maintenance for the lifetime of the original purchaser. This Limited Warranty does not apply to any failure of, defect in, or damage to the knife caused by normal wear and tear or by improper use, including throwing the knife, using the blades as a can opener, chisel, pry bar, screwdriver, digging tool, or for any heavy work for which the knife was not designed.

If the knife fails to satisfy this Limited Warranty, the Company will repair or replace the knife or substitute a knife of comparable value, at the Company’s option, and such repair, replacement or substitution shall constitute the sole remedy for any failure of the knife to satisfy this Limited Warranty or any implied warranty (ies) of the Company. In order to have a Limited Warranty claim evaluated by the Company, you must return the knife, at your own expense and risk, to

Please include with the returned knife a brief written description of any claimed defect(s) in or failure(s) of the knife. Any returned knife determined by the Company to not be eligible for repair, replacement or substitution under the terms of the Limited Warranty will be returned to the Owner.

The Company makes no express warranty or representation whatsoever of or with respect to the knife other than the foregoing limited warranty, and all such other express warranties are hereby expressly excluded.  Any implied warranties of the company, including warranties of merchantability and fitness, are limited in duration to the duration of this limited warranty. The Company will not be liable for any such special, incidental, or consequential damages, and all such damages are expressly excluded.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or  exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above  limitations or exclusion may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

  • To protect everyone who may handle your shipment, be sure to cover blades with the original protective cardboard sheaths. If you did not save these, you can use any other cardboard. Be sure to cover the entire blade and tip of the knife.
  • Place the items in a cardboard box with extra packing material to keep
    them secure during shipping.
  • Do not ship knives in padded envelopes.
  • Enclose a note explaining the reason for return. Remember to include your name, address, daytime phone number and e-mail address so we can promptly return your product.

  • Insure your package for its current retail value, and save your receipt.
  • KA-BAR is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

After your KA-BAR item is received in Olean, please allow 2 to 3 weeks for the processing and return of your products.

Quite simply, we declare that we will make good on every order.  Please, if you are not 100% SATISFIED with the merchandise that you received, return it to us within 30 days with the original paperwork and we will exchange it or refund your money in the manner paid (*some exceptions apply). This is an IRON-CLAD GUARANTEE! Instructions on the back of packing slip.

*Please Note:  We cannot accept returns on sharpened  or personalized  items (i.e. engraved) that are not defective.  They may not be returned because of the customization that has been done to the product.  Be sure when you order!

After 30 days we will repair or replace items that have manufacturing defects. Any returned item accompanied by a receipt will be refunded at the original purchase price of the item(s) in the original payment method. Return your item(s) to us using the return label and enclose the completed return form from your original packing slip. Customers are responsible for return postage. If your order is not received, it is the responsibility of the customer to notify us. No tracer will be placed after 60 days.
