This Battlecry offering is the military issue version of the Kindjal (or “Khanjali” in original Georgian) that served Russian armed forces well into the mid-20th century. The short sword length blade was perfect as a close combat weapon. It originated in the Georgian Republic of Russia but was best known as a Cossack weapon.
The blade is forged from 1065 high carbon steel with a darkened, battle-hardened finish, full tang, and tempered to a low 50's RC. The fine point endows it with superior piercing power. Multiple blood grooves and a central fuller give this sword a light, lively feel.
This pre-sharpened weapon has gone through rigorous testing. The hands-on nature of the manufacturing by master smiths makes this line unique. Includes a matching scabbard with belt stop, and certificate of authenticity signed by each smith that touched your blade through every step of the forging process. The leather scabbard has steel throat and chape that are engraved with a traditional floral pattern.
