What a modern Samurai still needs: a modern, fully functional Wakizashi design. This Wakizashi has deep fullers (bo-hi) on both sides to lighten the sword. The blade is traditionally made and paired with modern, more durable materials for the grip and scabbard. The 1566 carbon steel blade is differentially tempered using tested, centuries old methods. The Rockwell hardness on the edge is 60, and on the back is 40. The double pinned handle is crafted of textured G10 for superior grip and toughness. An embedded dragon menuki is embedded on each side.
The textured saya (scabbard) is updated with a modern polymer kurikata and kojiri wrapped with paracord. Crafted with care by Dragon King Forge. Matching katana and tanto with a dragon motif also available.
