OVERVIEW

M1 Garand rifle was first issued with M1905 16" bayonet. In 1942, the US Military determined that a shorter bayonet was more useful. Existing stocks of M1905 bayonets were cut down to 10". In addition, new manufacture 10" bayonets were also produced. Cut-off-bayonets have fuller that extends to the point and new manufacture has fullers that stop about 3" from the point. This reproduction bayonet is made to original specifications from high carbon blued steel with hard plastic grips. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts. Scabbard available separately.
  • Overall: 14-1/2" long
  • Blade: 10"
  • Wt: 14 oz

Replica Bayonet + Scabbard + Shipping = $115.  Then add 1 -2 hours for filing and fitting.  This "made to original specifications" replica did not come even close to fitting onto a standard WWII M1 Garand rifle.  I am not a knife smith and did not plan to spend over an hour to make this rather costly bayonet approximately fit my rifle.  I would recommend that anyone interested, just save up a few more dollars, be patient, and find an original bayonet for your M1 rifle.  Sorry ACC, I call 'em like I see 'em.

Great Job, but a bit pricey for India.
