The ultra high grade stainless steel 8Cr13MoV takes and holds an extreme, razor sharp edge for long periods and through abuse seen in the field. It is almost completely maintenance free and highly resistant to corrosive elements and salt water. Although USMC approved, these are not standard government issue.
