The Applegate-Fairbairn Combat Knife was designed for the OSS to correct the faults of the commando daggers being used during WWII. It was a pure fighting knife.
Boker's reissue of the original design is made in Solingen, Germany. This tactical knife is incredibly well-balanced and lively in the hand. The full tang blade is tough, 440C bead-blasted steel with a Rockwell hardness of 58 HRC. For lightness, the backside of the blade is flat. The grip is virtually indestructible fiberglass-reinforced Delrin with integrate stainless steel weights, ensuring balance and a firm grip. The bead-blasted brass guard provides secure control. Included is a modern Kydex sheath with a large Tek-Loka mount. This dagger is built for those who demand performance- in the field, on duty, and beyond.
