OVERVIEW

Although fought on neighboring Breed’s Hill near Charleston, Massachusetts, one of the first skirmishes of the newly formed Continental Army became known as the “Battle of Bunker Hill”. The British won the battle, driving the Americans inland, but at the expense of a high number of British casualties, including many officers. It took the British three tries to gain control of the area, and proved the American militia could go toe-to-toe with the highly trained British army.

This limited edition of our replica 18th-century short sword has an etched blade commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence (“Semiquincentennial”, if you like technical terminology), displaying the words “250 Years Of Liberty” and both the Betsy Ross flag (with 13 stars) and the current Stars and Stripes. The blade is constructed of 1075 high-carbon steel and has a single fuller, and the grip and pommel are solid brass. Includes a leather scabbard with a brass chape and throat.
