The fit of the cross-guard to the blade is very poor.
Crud and moisture will enter the gaps on either side of the ricasso (the unsharpened length of blade next to the guard).  This weakens the blade and will make it susceptible to rust at this critical joint.  The cross-guard should have been soldered to the blade.

In every other respect the knife is beautiful, but this uncraftmanly and ugly defect spoils the knife.
