Combine a legendary knife design with legendary Damascus steel and you get this soon-to-be-legendary custom beauty. Originating in Indonesia, the Karambit's dramatically curved blade was said to be inspired by the Claws of a Tiger. From its humble beginnings as an agricultural tool, it evolved into a fighting weapon used by the Minangkabau of West Sumatra and has become a popular tactical/self-defense knife utilizing several modern designs.
This version has a full tanged blade of beautifully patterned Damascus steel, with decorative ridges on the spine and a smooth thumb rest at the bolster. The steel bolster and finger ring have a brushed finish and are customized with jimping inside next to the tang. The horn scales are bordered by red and brass spacers. Finger ring enhances traditional grip (blade down) and hammer grip (blade up). The leather belt sheath is embossed with a lace border design.
