This hollow ground knife has a skeletonized tang under the plastic scales. In the main cavity under the scales is a small kit with 6 matches, a length of fishing line, 2 needles and some thread. There is not a striker strip for the matches included as they are not strike anywhere. The paint on the blade chips off easy enough to allow the ferro rod be struck. The scale removal tool doesn't spark the ferro rod well.
