This distinct axe style was used in the early days of the United States in conflicts all the way up to the 1800's, although the style had been in use since Viking times. The solid 1060 high carbon steel axe head and light weight make this a very suitable axe for cutting and throwing. Handle made of solid hickory, replacement handles available.
