OVERVIEW
A Kirpan is a traditional Sikh knife carried as part of a religious commandment given by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699 stating that Sikhs should always wear five articles of faith, the kirpan being one. Sikh’s are to be Saint Soldiers that embody mercy, grace, compassion and honor.
Windlass Steelcrafts Kirpan is made from hand forged, 1065 high carbon steel with a full profile tang. Features impressive highly polished brass and hand finished scales. Bolsters feature the Sikh religious symbol and One Creator or god symbol, "Ik Onkar".
Includes matching wood sheath covered in red leather and brass tip.

I received the "Kirpan," I found the blades' symmetry pleasing and rugged enough for heavy use. The "Kirpan" is no light weight contender. It has the ruggedness for close quarters combat with its' sturdy build. I am sure any "Sikh," would be proud to carry this blade on his person. I only think another sheath should be available for hanging from a belt. Either for hunting or as for a utility belt . The "Kirpan," was meant to tuck into a sash or sashes around the carriers' waist.

Good Kirpan Replica
The Kirpan is exactly what I expected. I was pleased that it came sharpened, as I thought it might just be an unsharpened replica. It appears very well made. It makes a nice addition to my collection.
