OVERVIEW

This knife is handcrafted in naturally occurring materials. The blades are attached using sinew. Each knife has a primitive style bear paw etched in the end and is one of a kind.

This Natural Deer Antler Obsidian Blade Knife is handmade by master artist Dale Duby using the methods of old; grinding, abrading, percussion, and pressure flaking. Each knife has a primitive-style bear paw etched in the end and is one of a kind. The blades are attached using sinew.

Each of these knives is handcrafted of naturally occurring materials, with as little alteration as possible to preserve its natural beauty. Each handle is minimally worked to save most of its original shape, so color, grain, and shape will vary from the knife shown in the photo, guaranteeing you that the knife you purchase will be one-of-a-kind.

  • Handcrafted of naturally occurring materials
  • Each knife has a primitive-style bear paw etched in the end
  • Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist
  • The blades are attached using sinew
  • Includes hand-carved stand

Please note: Obsidian color may vary from the photo. We are not able to guarantee a specific obsidian color. Obsidian is formed from the erupted lava of a volcano. Although black is the most common color, it can be brown, tan, or green. When hematite (iron oxide) is present, it produces red and brown varieties. If tiny gas bubbles remained in the lava flow during crystallization, green varieties were created, as well as others with a golden sheen, or types with dark bands or mottling in gray, green, or even yellow.
