This timeless pattern is just as useful as an everyday carry knife today as it was centuries ago, when having a dependable blade was often a matter of life and death. Skinning, cutting rope, building shelter, preparing food (and dealing with the occasional miscreant) - a basic knife had to be versatile and tough. A wide stalk tang ensures this 1065 high carbon steel blade will be strong enough to handle most everything you can throw at it. The blade is black except for the cutting bevel.  The Viking era, laser-etched intertwined dragon on the wooden grip comes directly from the time of dragon-prow sailing ships.
