Hanwei, because of the scarcity of clean high-alloy cutlery steels from domestic suppliers, makes its own steels to produce superior blade materials with excellent edge-holding and toughness. Utilizing its vast swordmaking experience, Hanwei can forge knife blades and create knives that are comparable to those from custom makers and semi-custom manufacturers.
This knife is made in the old, famous Hanwei factory by the same expert bladesmiths who craft their excellent Samurai swords. As of now, the new Hanwei factory is no longer making this knife! This top-quality full-tang hunting knife features a forged blade of HWS-1KH steel with an edge hardness of 58-60HRc. The blade has a full, tapered tang with an integral, grooved thumb rest. The handle scales are genuine Sambar stag, and the stainless steel guards feature electro-formed scroll engraving. The sheath is bark-tanned leather with stainless steel reinforcement at the wear points, and has an integral belt loop. Limited Stock!
