OVERVIEW

This sword, a typical weapon of the Highlanders, has a blade made of 440 stainless steel. Features elaborately detailed crossguard and pommel. Overall length of 57 inches.

This Scottish Claymore is a variant of the medieval two handed sword and was the typical weapon of the Highland warriors from the 15th to 17th centuries. A Scottish symbol of national pride, claymores were more a rough tool than a weapon but no-less effective when wielded properly. The name comes from the Gaelic term "claidheamh mòr" meaning "great sword” and are characterized as having a cross hilt of forward-sloping quillons with quatrefoil ends.

This beautiful ornate replica from Marto of Spain has a double edged blade made of the finest tempered stainless steel, decorated with 24K gold engravings on the upper part. The cross guard decorated in gold and silver plated metal. The round pommel depicts a lion and a unicorn doing battle and is a beautiful topper for the long, tapered wooden grip. Decorative use only. Intended for wall decor, displays, home or office decor or for costume.
