Often employed by the Samurai class and their foot soldiers, the Tanegashima gun is a highly decorated Japanese matchlock from the mid 1500's sized for easy carry and close quarters fighting. An important advancement in warfare and instrumental in changing how tactics during war played out, our medium sized non firing replica has a hand stained solid wood stock. Features a 6 sided barrel. The intricate matchlock mechanism moves and the metal parts are cast alloy with a steel or brass finish. Cannot be made to fire. Available in very limited quantities.
