OVERVIEW
This beautiful Ulu includes a matching stand! Ulu's make great knives in the kitchen for chopping herbs and onions, even pizzas! This modern version has a grip made from birch wood and a stainless steel blade.
For centuries, native Alaskan tribes have utilized the Ulu for cutting hair, butchering meat, and trimming ice blocks for igloo construction. The traditional grip was crafted from walrus tusk, indigenous horn, or antler.
This updated version has a mirror-polished 440 stainless blade. The birch wood handle has a brown leather inlay with the name "Alaska" and a silhouette of the state. A beautiful homage to the origins of this useful knife, it includes a birch wood stand. Made by B. Merry.
