This is a high-quality reproduction dagger with blued finished high-carbon steel blade (blade is double-edged and sharp). The blade is stamped US M3 1943. The M3 Fighting Knife, also called the M-3 Trench Knife had a 6.75" spear point blade with sharpened 3.5" false edge, a handle made of compressed, stacked leather washers with 8 grooves, and a steel crossguard and pommel. Comes with a reproduction top-grain leather sheath stamped US M6 WMCO 1943 with flaming bomb cartouche, blued steel hardware and reinforcing. Has hanger for attaching to standard web belt and slots for use on belts up to 2" wide. Includes leather leg tie-down thong. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.
