V-J Day Kiss Captured in Sculpture

This cast sculpture recaptures one of the most famous photos of World War II! As President Harry Truman announced the victory over Japan, jubilation sprang out all over the country. This sculpture recreates the famous kiss between a sailor and nurse in Times Square, New York, that occurred as ecstatic citizens learned the war was over.  Cast in resin with a bronze finish, this artwork stands approximately 12” tall and is a perfect representation of the famous photograph that became a poetic capstone to the end of the war
