This massive sword is a modern take on the historical naginata. Naginatas are traditional Japanese pole weapons with a long handle and curved blade at the tip. This version is a Bistento style and features an aged hardwood handle with a cord wrap. The 1/2" thick 1045 carbon steel blade is 25" long. Overall this impressive polearm is 53" long with a back spike and hook toward the tip which makes this one of the most aggressive we've ever seen. The curved, reinforcing ridge along the flat of the blade makes it super strong for cutting. The Dadao style guard and ring are made of steel. Includes polyurethane blade sheath.
