Hmmm
Ok, where to begin; over all I am very happy with this short sword, you could use it indoors effectively, however the handle is small and shaped in such a way that it wants to roll, and can be difficult to index, with a different handle this would be a most excellent short sword. That being said I am very happy with it and am satisfied very much with it

Excellent Short saber
This sword is excellent for home self defense. It might be an item to send a trooper in the middle east since swords are good use in hand to hand combat.

The sword to scabbard fit could be made tighter, but at such a nice price, that's more of a nitpick than an issue. Overall, the blade is pretty and well balanced and the handle scales are fitted very well. The scabbard is also sturdy and the polished brass goes great with the black leather. And with less than a week of shipping, I'm really impressed with this purchase, especially for a first sword, I think it's fantastic!

Nice finish but poor hilt-to-scabbard fit. Improper construction leaves a wedge gap between hilt and scabbard. Quality on these is a hit and miss proposition. Some excellent--others below acceptable standards.

Overall, it stacks up real well in its price range. Finish and fit not perfect, but acceptable. I bought it as a user, not a coffee table knife, so we will see how it holds up to light yard work and martial arts exercises. Sheath surprisingly well made. It might have been safer for my uses to only have the main edge sharpened, but as it came the sharpening was well done and uniform on both edges. It can be touched up with a finer stone. I have a real one on order from Russia which I expect to be better quality, but at 3 times the price it should be so no beefs with this trainer/beater!
Handle is a little long and the bolt heads are awkward, but this is authentic to the original sword.

The Russian Kindjal definitely  met and even exceeded my expectations.  The sword is both beautiful and fully functional.  I ordered my sharpened with the order.  The sharpening was done very well.  I would definitely recommend this sword to any serious historical sword  collector.  It is another excellent edged weapon suitable for display or functional use made by Windlass Steelcrafts.  I am fully satisfied.  Great work!!!

I bought this short sword several years ago, had it sharpened by Rod Chappel, (carabo) of Lone Eagle inc. Yeh, the steel is the best! Rod has the biggest box of bandaids I"ve ever seen and good thing too! this thing is double bladed killing sharp! the handle fits my hand to a tee, and the exposed pins serve to locate my hand for cut and thrust and safety, as the guard is minimal. This is a DEADLY weapon! I love it!!  I have used this in the field as an awesome machete, it will cut thru anything i put it to. I wish i had one where i grew up in the swamps of merrett isl fla.! get one, have it sharpened by a pro, you will NOT regret it. No flaws on mine. wish i could give it 10 stars.
ps. i have never had a bad purchass from this company thanks y'all, I have "hurried back" several times!

Nicely made and better quality steel than I expected. Would have given it 5 stars except for a noticeable buffer gouge near the base of the blade on both sides. Still worth the price I paid.

Nice little sword.  Odd shaped handle, though it is a full profile tang it's wider than it is high.  Not uncomfortable but I will probably cover it with something to build up the height so it's more conventional in shape.  Nicely made sheath.  Very good deal at the price.
