I admit I was apprehensive ordering a combat knife for $39.00 but I knuckled down and took a chance. The knife that arrived was FAR better than the pictures posted for it. The bluing is rich and even on the blade guard and pommel, there are no missed spots at all. The leather handle is solid and stained nicely. It is shaped well and the grooves aide in retention very well.  The blade came sharp yet not shaving sharp but a short time on a fine stone will address that quite well.  The blade is solid and well shaped the grind is perfect and I can find no issues with the blade at all.  While Atlanta cutlery states that it could serve as a field knife, once I held this knife it is evident that it was meant for one purpose alone and I am sure it held to that duty admirably.  The one draw back I found is the sheath. It holds the knife solidly yet it is thin and I doubt would hold to long use. That did not with hold one star for me as if the knife was this good I intended to replace it anyway. Atlanta Cutlery has outdone themselves with this one. If you are a reenactor or just looking for a good knife for defensive tasks please do yourself a favor and BUY this knife you will not be disappointed with the knife or the price.  I have seen worse quality knives for easily twice this price. Good Job, Atlanta. I will be buying from you again!!
UPDATE: Had the knife for about a week now. Still love the knife. can find nothing wrong with it save for the sheath as I stated. Spent about 20 minutes on a medium and fine Arkansas stone and now both the primary and top edge are quite literally shaving sharp. I practice the Libre fighting art edged weapon system and this knife flow wonderfully through the drills. Again do yourself a favor and BUY this knife!!  I Promise you won't be disappointed!!
